We are looking for a number of midtown based firms to partner with us in hosting morning networking events. Our Contacts and Coffee series can either be:

Content Based: These are generally panel discussions and other morning content events for a variety of different industries. These range from 20-50 people and are carefully designed to integrate both content and networking into a session before the start of the work day.

Unstructured Networking: Free form networking over coffee before the start of the regular work day. These events typically draw 40+ established professionals.

The Contacts and Charity community has been designed to provide non-profit professionals (as well as people with an interest in getting more involved) with a platform to network and build meaningful relationships.

Contacts and Charity is an open community that welcomes a very wide range of people. This includes:

Full Time Non-Profit Professionals: Although non-profit professionals have much in common, busy schedules often get in the way of networking and relationship building. Networking Events for NYC Medical, Pharmaceutical, and Biotechnology Professionals

The C Squared Group's New Networking Series

Over the course of the past six months of community building, The C Squared Group has received dozens of requests for the formation of new groups. Many of these are in the process of development.

One of the most frequent inquiries we have fielded was from our many friends in the medical, pharmaceutical, and biotechnology industries here in New York. In response, the C Squared Group is pleased to announce the launch of a new series of networking events geared for these professions.

Here is the latest:

1 – Launch of our “Contacts & Cocktails” Series -- Our launch event is scheduled for October 28th from 6pm-9pm at Porcão Rio's Churrascaria (360 Park Avenue South). We have the full private room for our group. The capacity is around 75. Full details are available at www.csquaredgroup.com.

2 – Call for Host Committee Members / Brand Ambassadors -- Although we do have substantial interest in this series already, we are actively looking to build our roster of host committee members / brand ambassadors. Host Committee Members / Brand Ambassadors are expected to (on a best efforts basis) attend each cocktail event, as well as assist with promotion and marketing. There are other perks that we are able to offer depending on level of involvement. 3 – Content and Potential Sponsor Relationships – Over time, many of our groups evolve and a demand for content emerges. In addition, once the group reaches critical mass, there are various opportunities for potential sponsors. Networking to find Jobs (not Steve)

One of the most frequently asked questions the C Squared Group receives is whether or not job seekers are welcome at our events.

Some thoughts on this topic:

1 – We at the C Squared Group have a deep appreciation for the challenges that job seekers face in the current market – And there are many ways we can help. However, in order to preserve the integrity and focus of our events, C Squared Group events are strictly closed to job seekers.

2 – The C Squared Group does look to verify employment status of all attendees at our events. This is an imperfect process due to the large number of events that we host. We do ask that all attendees respect these restrictions and we will make sure we continue to improve our screening processes. One way we are doing this is by building out our Host Committee and Brand Ambassador programs.

3 – We are actively developing out a platform to help promote compelling job opportunities to our large and growing audience of qualified professionals. News from the C Squared Group

We've grown - a lot.

What started with a 100 person guest list in November 2007 is now nearly 40,000 people in the NY area!

Our guest list isn't the only thing that has grown - Our events have grown too!

We now have 7 different events that we host on a regular basis. Some are open to all professionals, while others are open to a specific industry only. We host early evening events over cocktails as well as morning events over coffee before the start of the regular work day.

Despite the proliferation of online social networking, face time remains invaluable. But professional meet-and-greets can be a drag if you have to run a gantlet of retail salesmen just to get a free drink. That's why Jordan Cohen, a former private banker at Deutsche Bank, founded The C Squared Group (csquaredgroup.com), which screens out unwanted riffraff to provide venues for hedge-fund traders and relevant service providers to forge ties without being hit up for business cards by annuity peddlers. The C Squared hedgie soirees are held every other month -- currently in New York, with expansion pending. "Too many of these industry networking events don't screen out real-estate brokers and run-of-the-mill financial advisers," he says. "We do." Plus -- and perhaps most importantly -- C Squared events (which typically run $30 for three to four hours) feature an open bar. We'd like to see you just try to drink your weight in vodka tonics on Facebook.
